Service Description
Historically, A mosaic is a pattern or image made of small regular and irregular piece of colored stone, glass, or ceramic, held together by plaster/ mortar, and covering a surface. Mosaics are often used as floor and wall decoration and were particularly popular in the Ancient Roman world. Modern mosaic collage is a work of art that is made by attaching piece of different materials (such as paper, fabric, feathers, wood and found objects) to a flat surface of paper, canvas, or wood. Our goal is to create a mosaic collage by utilizing magazines, paper and print material as our palette or medium and gluing down these pieces to create imagery. In our two part series we will create artwork using simple applications to chart, map, gather, select and curate our Mosaic collage.
